Job purpose:
- We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable and bright candidates with a customer service and network engineering background to help us grow our network and continue to make our customers happy.
- The critical nature of the infrastructure will require you to work both quickly and carefully. You will need to thrive in a varied and sometimes unstructured environment, be able to provide support to customer service teams, provision services alongside field engineers, resolve issues alongside field-based maintenance team, configure network equipment, and most importantly of all to empathise and turn a potentially unhappy customer into a happy one.
- You will work 5 days (40hrs total) per week. There will be some requirement for Saturday working and staggered early or late starts to ensure that the team as a whole is able to provide the coverage our customers need. Additionally, there will be some opportunity for overtime.
What you’ll be doing:
- Responsible for managing and coordinating the NOC team. The main aim for this coordination is to ensure that the networking system runs efficiently without interruption.
- Provide incident triage and manage incidents to resolution
- Act as an escalation point for NOC Technicians as well as internal and external groups.
- NOC Supervisor oversees the work of junior employees to ensure that system requirements have been properly implemented and procedures carefully followed.
- Primarily deals with NOC, vendors, engineers and the whole technical team
- Coordinates the duty shift table for the NOC operations and carefully allocates staff members on different shift duties for ensuring the whole NOC shift works in an efficient and effective manner.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with NOC technicians to communicate departmental goals and provide regular feedback of individual NOC Technician performance.
The experience we’re looking for you to bring:
- Experience in GPON,FTTH/FTTC.
- CCNA Required CCNP a plus.
- University degree or equivalent experience of >5 years.
- >4 years’ experience working as a network engineer.
- Experience of using network equipment – e.g. Cisco/Juniper/Huawei.
- Experience using an Enterprise level monitoring solution such Zabbix, or similar product.
- Desire to work in an agile, start-up environment and go the ‘extra mile’ to support our delivery of a great customer experience.
- Be a self-starter.
- Be open, honest, and transparent.
